Service and Support
VLI Conveyors provides a broad range of services around conveyor systems to support the products we develop, manufacturer and distribute. Our aftermarket service is second to none with focus being placed on training, knowledge and quality workmanship. VLI Conveyors has multiple service locations around Australia; each service centre provides a multitude of capabilities dependent on our customer’s requirements. In alignment with this, we have an extensive range of certified equipment with the capacity to handle any repair or maintenance job.

Every product in the VLI Conveyor’s range is covered by our service area to both maintain and repair where necessary. These services include but are not limited to:
Rubber Lining
Rubber lining is a proven solution for extending the life of plant and equipment operating in harsh environments. It provides superior resistance to abrasion, corrosion, and chemical attack—minimising unplanned downtime and maintenance costs. At VLI Conveyors, we bring decades of experience in delivering reliable rubber lining solutions across a wide range of applications, including chutes, pipes, tanks, large vessels, and pulley lagging. Our expertise helps safeguard your infrastructure while enhancing operational efficiency.
Cold Rubber Lining
Cold rubber lining offers a flexible and cost-effective solution for protecting equipment from wear and corrosion. It is ideal for on-site applications, allowing for easier installation and repairs without the need for specialised curing equipment. This method ensures strong adhesion and reliable protection in a wide range of industrial environments.
Hot Vulcanised Rubber Lining
Hot vulcanised rubber lining delivers exceptional durability and adhesion, creating a seamless, long-lasting bond between the rubber and substrate. This process enhances resistance to abrasion, impact, and harsh chemicals, making it ideal for high-wear applications. The result is superior protection, reduced maintenance, and extended equipment life.
VLI Conveyors Perth, is proud to operate one of the largest autoclaves in Western Australia, measuring Ø3m x 7m. Combined with decades of expertise in hot vulcanised rubber lining, we offer industry-leading capability to handle large and complex jobs with precision, durability, and efficiency.
Belt Installation and Maintenance
VLI Conveyors offers conveyor belt installation and splicing on steel cord belt, fabric belt, solid woven and PVC belting ranging from 300mm wide 2ply PVC, 2400mm wide ST4000 steel cord belts and underground solid woven type 10000 longwall belts to fabric EP2000/5ply belts.
Conveyor System Audits
VLI Conveyors offer complete Conveyor audits with a comprehensive reporting procedure including ultra sonic belt monitoring for conveyor belts and shell wear on idlers. VLI Conveyors also provide a work plan to ensure all issues are addressed in a timely manner to maximise production for mine sites.
Belt Cleaner Installation
Efficient belt cleaning systems are recognised as an essential part of every conveyor system and our national distribution and service network allow us to provide the Australian market with cost effective solutions for standard and enhanced belt conveyor systems. This experience combined with our industry leading technology ensures we are at the forefront of the belt cleaning and fastener industry.
VLI Conveyors has mobile belt cleaner maintenance crews, along with roller and skirt system replacement programs.
VLI Conveyors are a distributor for all Flexco belt cleaner products.
Idler Change Outs
VLI Conveyors can change out any idlers and provide advice on how they are wearing and what needs to be changed if necessary, on the conveyor system idler wise.
Pulley Change Outs
VLI Conveyors provides pulley change out capabilities and extensive testing to ensure pulleys are running correctly.
Pulley Refurbishment
VLI Conveyors provides a complete pulley refurbishment service. Pulleys can be lagged with a variety of materials such as natural or FRAS rubber in sheet or strip form, ceramic strips or polyurethane if required. Pulley lagging can either be carried out in situ, on site or at one of our service facilities.
Refurbishment services can be as basic as re-lagging, or can be comprehensive to include items such as:

Visual defect checks including cracks, dents etc

Bearing and seal replacements

Shaft machining or replacement

Balancing and testing for oil leaks

Appropriate NDT testing can be carried out

Reporting on the condition of pulleys using unique serial numbers as identification

Abrasive blasting and painting

Strip, prime and re-lagging of pulleys

Wrapping for ozone protection along with preparation for transportation
Conveyor Belt Condition Monitoring
VLI Conveyors can conduct weekly/fortnightly or monthly inspections to ensure belts aren’t wearing more than usual. VLI Conveyors can also conduct thickness tests and reports.
Conveyor Alignment
VLI Conveyors can check the tracking of the belt and give advice to rectify the tracking issues on the conveyor system.

Conveyor and Elevator Belting Service:
We offer conveyor belt splicing on steel cord belt, fabric belt, solid

Vulcanisers
VLI Conveyors has state of the art vulcanisers capable of belts from 3mm
thick, 300mm wide up to 30mm thick, 2400mm wide.

Our range of Certified equipment as listed below is held at our various locations around Australia and can be ready for mobilisation to our customers sites anywhere in Australia within hours.

+ 100T brake let off stand.
+ 35 T capacity x 2100 belt width x 3800 roll diameter.
+ 18 T capacity x 2400 belt width x 3500 roll diameter.
+ 9 T capacity x 1800 belt width x 2500 roll diameter.
+ 6 T capacity x 1600 belt width x 2500 roll diameter.
+ 57 T line pull, 28 tonne line pull electric winches.

Training
All VLI Conveyor Technicians are trained to Certificate III in Polymer Processing Belt Splicing (PMD30107) with additional modules to cover our Mechanical Service requirements. Our Training Program is carried out through the Australian College of Mining.
